The Resident dogs

Mac & Ace our pet dogs

Mac is a very sweet, quiet 6 year old Mastiff/Great Dane mix that was rescued from the local animal shelter. He loves doing agility but has recently started Nosework training. Food is Mac’s absolutely favorite thing in the whole world, but unfortunately he has many allergies. Mac’s love of food and allergies started Cortney’s journey down the Pet nutrition path into feeding a full raw diet. Feel free to ask about any dog food or allergy questions! Since Mac has such a caring nature he is perfect for our nervous or insecure board and train dogs. He is the best helper dog.

Ace is your typical German Shepherd but add in a little surprise Border Collie in that DNA. As you can imagine when you have two working breed brains put together you have a very smart boy! He is my Nosework master, we are excelling in our classes and will start competing in local trials soon. (keep an eye out for intro nosework classes coming soon) Ace is a great example of working the dog you have in front of you. He is the reason I changed my training style to fit the dog and not make the dog fit your training style. With a smart but energetic brain he can be a little much for some dogs, however he has proven to help some come our of their shell and start to play. Some dogs graduate from working with Mac to being able to play with Ace.

Ryker & Kenny the working dogs

Ryker is a 2 year old Belgian Malinios. Kenny is a 3 year old dutch shepherd. Both boys are from Island working k9 and we are currently training toward my goals in American Schutzhund with the South Sound working Dog Club.
